Discipline Procedures for Students with Disabilities

Under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), students with disabilities are afforded an extra measure of due process to ensure a review of the possible impacts of a student's disability in a disciplinary removal. 

These resources provide educators with guidance on applying discipline procedures in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE).
