The Build

Thursday, April 29
Kent ISD/Kent Career Tech Center Campus

The Build is a brand-new career exploration event for 10th, 11th and 12th graders, created by the Kent ISD Workforce Development team.  Students are invited to explore heavy equipment, power tools and hands-on activities with area employers and industry leaders. Trade school and college representatives will also be on-hand to guide students to the various construction careers that are most needed in West Michigan.

Employers We are asking employers, unions, training organizations, and industry partners to create interactive experiences that allow students to see, touch, try, build, operate, or practice something connected to the work you do. Click and join us! Employers Register Here
Schools Schools will be able to register to attend The Build starting in January 2027. Talk to your school or career counselors.
