Regional CTE Pathway Programs
CTE is experiencing a rise in popularity with an increased demand for skilled workers, especially here in Michigan. More than 110,000 11th- and 12th-grade students were enrolled in CTE programs during the 2023-24 school year in Michigan and now Kent ISD CTE is available in several locations around Kent County. Students who are interested in exploring CTE, should contact their school's guidance counselor.
Kent ISD is expanding CTE opportunities by partnering with area universities and workplaces to give more students real-life work experience. We provide the state oversight and access while our partners share their expertise with the students.
You can also see many more CTE offerings covering several other highly desired skills including culinary and hospitality, welding, criminal justice and agriscience at the Kent Career Tech Center. Programs are available for students entering 11th and 12th grades, but students can start exploring the CTE options that most appeal to them at any time.
