Construction and Electrical
Construction and Electrical
West Michigan Construction Institute's (WMCI) high school programs offer basic instruction for students in either construction or electrical skills. In construction, students learn how to use hand and power tools, construction math and are given an orientation to carpentry. For electrical, students learn basic electrical theory, safety and are introduced to the National Electrical Code. WMCI offers the only high school electrical program in Kent County.
Kent ISD provides access, tuition costs and CTE oversight for students and participating schools in the program.
Students who are interested in enrolling should contact their school's guidance counselor. Contact Jordan Kapla with WMCI if you have any questions.
