Woodworking  Technology

Student showing off wooden table that he built

Discover the fundamentals of wood product manufacturing at Next Step of West Michigan, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing skills training for high school students. This hands-on, project-based program gives students practical knowledge and techniques that are needed in the wood manufacturing industry. Students learn skills that can launch them to careers in carpentry, cabinetmaking, furniture making, and millwork. A Wood Tech Advanced program is available for returning students who have completed Wood Tech.

Students who are interested in this program should contact their school's guidance counselor. If you have any questions, contact Courtney Deboer at Next Step.
