Where The Path Begins

Artist Statement 

"I am a student who has developed a multitude of leadership skills and has been able to demonstrate them because of my hard work and dedication to serving others. After spending years of my life networking and being surrounded by my peers, I have always made a connection within conversations. "What will you do after you graduate?" They would ask, with a type of genuineness that comes from curiosity and feeling like you still have so much more to prove. As a student leader, you feel like what you do in secondary school is just a shadow of who you are after you graduate. I refute this belief. 

Student leaders are those who create an unshakable impact in their community, and create even a minor difference. Those students with impeccable amounts of effort put into every job and project, who never walk past an open door. Someone who works, shows up, and leaves a legacy where their presence has been. Someone who is kind, compassionate, and gracious. That is what it means to lead."
