Engaging Students

The more exposure students have to future career opportunities and the world of work, the more likely they are to choose a career that’s right for them – where they’ll be happy and successful. It’s our job to help students get that exposure.

Through CareerPrep 2030, we're working with schools, business partners and community leaders to engage with kindergarten through 12th grade students on career awareness and how they can prepare throughout their education journey.

Career preparation is more than just learning the "Three Rs" of education. It is also being involved in extra-curricular activities that hone specific skills, or after-school jobs that lead to vital networking connections. It can also mean learning teamwork and discipline through athletics.

School can be fun, but it is also a pathway to the future. We want to help equip all areas of our community with the ability to touch the student's journey through the educational system.

Students can participate in Career Chats, our virtual Career Exploration Series and school counselors and educators can bring students to learn about area careers in our Talk & Tour series. There are also dozens of different career quizzes, personality tests, and ways of building Educational Development Plans to get students engaged to get glimpses of their futures.
