PROJECT BASED SERVICE LEARNING

One hour to one day training or technical assistance session in schools on Project Based Service-Learning. Instruction includes a five phase model for designing and implementing Project Based Service-Learning units. Sessions include curriculum integration and alignment with the Common Core. Service-learning engages students by using classroom instruction to solving real-life problems.

ART, BAND, CHOIR, ORCHESTRA - SERVICE LEARNING

One hour to one day professional development session for "Service-Learning in the Arts". How to design Project Based Service - Learning programs in the visual arts and music. Includes planning guides, resources and examples of successful programs.

CAPTURING KIDS' HEARTS- ASSISTANCE

One hour orientation and technical assistance in Capturing Kids' Hearts. Session outlines how to get started, measuring outcomes and the benefits of the Capturing Kids' Hearts model. Discussion focuses on the process for starting or sustaining Capturing Kids' Hearts in the classroom and school.

CAPTURING KIDS' HEARTS- TRAINING

Kent ISD can help schools contract with the vendor to provide the three day training in Capturing Kids' Hearts for staff. There is a fee associated with this training.

KENT INNOVATION HIGH LAB SCHOOL- PROJECT BASED LEARNING

Come and learn Project Based Learning (PBL) at Kent Innovation High (KIH) Lab School. Visit KIH then hold a professional learning workshop in your district or school building.
