This program is designed for students interested in becoming a nurse, physician assistant, respiratory therapist, dietitian/nutritionist, physical/ occupational therapist, medical assistant or any career involving direct patient care. It introduces students to the fundamentals of health care, core skills, health care professional behavior, and various pathways to becoming a trained and educated health care professional.
Students enrolled in this program will have the opportunity to participate in work based learning experiences in both a hospital and long term care facility. In our simulated patient rooms, students will practice skills to become proficient and apply their knowledge.
Eligible students can earn NT/PCT national certification and American Heart BLS (CPR) certification.
