If you’re happiest working with your hands as you build, create, or renovate, Applied Construction just might be the program for you. While at indoor and outdoor worksites, you’ll experience the entire construction process from start to finish and walk out with skills that are in serious demand. 

Along the way, you’ll:

  • Understand how to read blueprints and site layouts
  • Learn to use a variety of hand and power tools
  • Frame walls and perfect your drywalling skills
  • Apply siding and roofing
  • Install windows and finishings
  • Work as a team to build a tiny house 
  • Get experience in a variety of construction site

Tools & Equipment

Here are some of the tools that you'll learn to use in this course:

  • Hand tools like hammers, drills and screwdrivers
  • Circular, miter, and table saws
  • Pneumatic (air) nailers for framing and roofing
  • Screw guns
  • Laser levels
  • Safety harnesses and hardhats

Available Certifications

Through this program, you’ll be prepared to earn certifications in:

  • Level 3 Residential Construction
  • Carpenters International Training Fund
  • OSHA 10

Potential College Credit

Up to 13 free college credits available*
