Career Chats Kent ISD’s Career Chats are designed to provide 7-12 grade students a virtual opportunity to meet real professionals employed in real jobs. This series of 30-40 minute sessions will highlight professions from a variety of career pathways, giving students the opportunity to learn more about a career of interest, or to explore new options.
Career Explorers Career Explorers is a 4-week virtual career exploration experience to help students learn about 8 different occupations within a specific pathway of interest.
Career Prep Series Tune in to our Career Prep Series for proven strategies, tips and tricks to help you look for, find, and land the job you want! Professionals from local companies will share their expertise in 30-minute Zoom sessions. Students and educators can ask questions via the Chat feature.
Talk & Tour Career Series Through an informal "talk show style" format, a virtual panel of professionals in select industries will share their own career path, the inside scoop on what their jobs are really like, along with their perspective on what you can do to prepare for a career that interests you

Groundhog Shadow Day Groundhog Shadow Day is a community-wide career exploration event for Kent County high school students, coordinated by the Kent ISD Career Readiness Department. Hundreds of local employers open their doors to allow students the opportunity to experience a "day in the life of..." a wide variety of occupations.
