- Universal Reader and Intergalactic Translator is a text-to-speech application that will read aloud highlighted text to the student. The Intergalactic Translator is a new feature that will read aloud highlighted text in a variety of languages. These are free to all students, teachers, and staff in Kent County! - Boardmaker is a software program that creates symbol-based communication tools. This is a great resource for students who are struggling with basic English and for parents who need help understanding school and classroom communications. Kent ISD has copies of Boardmaker that schools can borrow – contact the assistive technology department or download a free trial here.
