English Language Learners
It is the goal of Kent ISD to help our schools understand, instruct, and support the academic growth of English Language Learners.
Kent ISD staff:
- collaborates with area schools and local service agencies to coordinate ELL services
- develops and provides professional development resources such as workshops, newsletters, website, and instructional materials
- identifies and promotes effective practices for assessment, data collection, and analysis of ELL student learning
- researches and shares the latest scientifically-based effective instructional practices for ELL students
