Are you a middle grades teacher looking for ways to enhance your science instruction or introduce your students to new and exciting career paths? If so, the Kent ISD/NASA Aeronautics Education Lab (AEL) is for you!

Through the AEL program, students learn a wide range of scientific concepts and have the opportunity to apply what you’ve been teaching.

Some of the subjects students can learn include:

  • technical design and problem solving
  • materials science (researching plastics)
  • technical processes and flow charts
  • how satellites function
  • electrical circuits and soldering
  • weather, maps and coordinate systems
  • human and animal cell investigation
  • robotics
  • electromagnetic waves
