Aeronautics Education Laboratory
Are you a middle grades teacher looking for ways to enhance your science instruction or introduce your students to new and exciting career paths? If so, the Kent ISD/NASA Aeronautics Education Lab (AEL) is for you!
Through the AEL program, students learn a wide range of scientific concepts and have the opportunity to apply what you’ve been teaching.
Some of the subjects students can learn include:
- technical design and problem solving
- materials science (researching plastics)
- technical processes and flow charts
- how satellites function
- electrical circuits and soldering
- weather, maps and coordinate systems
- human and animal cell investigation
- robotics
- electromagnetic waves
