Parents & Community

Investing in students, schools, the future

At Kent ISD, our measures of success are simple. They are student achievement and customer service.

For an education service agency, these measures are indelibly linked. Our customers are the students, teachers, staff and administrators of 20 public school districts, Christian and Catholic schools and Public School Academies. If we do a good job of anticipating and fulfilling their needs, increased student achievement will result.

You, the general public and parents, are our customers too. We want to be your gateway to education information. If you don’t find the information you’re seeking on these pages, please contact our Communications Services staff at 616/364-1333.

School Accountability

We take our responsibility to our students, school districts and community very seriously. From our Annual Report and Core Processes, to regional student data, millage and financial information, this section includes many resources for the community to know us better.

Education Options & Schools of Choice

There are many options for quality education within Kent ISD. Our School of Choice plan is designed to provide the best possible education for the vast majority of families who choose their home district, while accommodating those who would like to transfer to another school.

Early Childhood (Bright Beginnings & Early On)

So all children have the best chance to start kindergarten with the skills they need, we joined forces with all our superintendents to bring two important programs to these young children and their families: Bright Beginnings and Early On.

The Guaranteed Diploma

Our Guaranteed Diploma offers students, families and businesses the peace of mind that high school graduates will have the skills required to compete in the workforce. This was developed by Kent ISD in partnership with the Workforce Development Board and our superintendents.

Homework Help & Learning Resources

With resources for all ages, these links offer genuine help and reference materials and very few ads. Plus, each has been reviewed by Kent ISD staff.

Employment & Vendor Opportunities

We hire a variety of consulting, career/technical and support staff to work at Kent ISD. We also link to district employment opportunities as available. As a service agency with a campus of four buildings, Kent ISD purchases a variety of goods and services through a formal bidding process.
