KSSN Technical Assistance
The Children’s Aid Society is providing the technical assistance for the implementation of KSSN.  Abe Fernandez, from their technical assistance center, provides training and on-site support to the18 KSSN sites and their coordinators.  This organization has been a leading advocate for children for more than 100 years, has helped create community schools across the country and is an acknowledged leader in the field.

KSSN National Advisory Panel
The National Advisory Panel assists the Kent School Services Network evaluation by providing national expertise, advice, and constructive suggestions regarding community schools to strengthen the effort of the local evaluator, Public Policy Associates.

Funding Partners
Since KSSN is a genuine community coalition, the funding is complex.  Each of the pilot school districts contribute both dollars and materials.  The community agencies have re-allocated dollars and staff.  Kent County, Kent ISD and the Kent County Family and Children’s Coordinating Council, the operating partners, are providing dollars, staff and expertise.

Our funding partners play a critical role in launching KSSN and providing the stability needed to create a successful pilot with our eight schools.  Each of these partners is committed to bringing schools and communities together for greater student achievement:
