Career pathways are large groupings of jobs that share common characteristics, education, training, interests and skills. The U.S. Department of Education identifies 16 career clusters, but they can be broadly grouped into six main career pathways, which Kent ISD uses. Arts & Communications Pathway careers are related to the humanities and the performing, visual, literary and media arts.
Business, Management, Marketing & Technology Pathway careers are related to all aspects of business and marketing.
Engineering/Manufacturing & Industrial Technology Pathway careers are related to technologies necessary to design, develop, install or maintain physical systems.
Health Sciences Pathway careers are related to the promotion of health as well as the treatment of injuries, conditions and disease.
Human Services Pathway careers are related to helping people improve their life physically, socially or emotionally.
Natural Resources & Agriscience Pathway careers are related to natural resources, agriculture and the environment.
