Career Readiness Event Calendar
Students, you and your parents or guardians are encouraged to attend this valuable career preparation event.

The Talk & Tour Series is an evening career exploration program designed to increase awareness of diverse careers available in high demand career sectors. Through an informal "talk show style" format, a panel of professionals in select industries will share their own career path, the inside scoop on what their jobs are really like, along with their perspective on what you can do to prepare for a rewarding career that matches your interests, abilities, and the job market.

This is your chance to ask questions, get valuable career information and take an important action step in figuring out your own career direction. A tour of the host site will provided, with a special focus on seeing the latest technology and innovation happening in the workplace.


Please note the time & address for this location.  This event will be held in the Meijer Conference Center at Mary Free Bed's Professional Building.  This will NOT be in the main rehabilitation hospital.

Career Readiness Event Calendar
Educators, spend a day observing and learning from local employers, exploring industry trends and ways to connect their classroom content to the work world and best business practices. Businesses may host from one to 30 educators at a time for 60-90 minutes. Tours will consist of meeting with 2-4 different employers spanning a variety of business focuses. Generally, visits will be diversified to ensure a range of industries are covered, although some events may be themed to focus on a specific field/industry.

Cost for these events is $10, which covers lunch and transportation to/from businesses. SCECHs may also be available. Unable to go because your school can't cover for a sub? Substitute reimbursement is available on an as needed basis, up to $100. Follow the link below to complete a request form, submit it prior to the event, and we will review it based on need and available funds.
