In honor of David D. Smith, innovator in green school buildings and the late Grand Rapids Public Schools’ Executive Director of Facilities Planning, Kent ISD seeks to award one district the David D. Smith Memorial Award. This award recognizes an entire school district for major efforts in green projects including LEED or LEED-eligible building construction and/or renovation.
