How do I reset a user's temporary password? From the Home Page click Administration / Staff - then search for the staff member. Click on the padlock icon to open the security profile. In the Actions line click Edit Security. Login status: Activated (temporary password) Temporary Password: accept defult user ID or reset to another temp password for the user. Click the green Accept button.
How can I change the user's security group? From the Home Page click Administration / Staff - then search for the staff member. Click on the padlock icon to open the security profile. In the Actions line click Edit Security. Check the box next to the security group(s). Click the green Accept button.
How can I add a new user? From the Home Page click Administration / Staff. Students. In the Action line click Add New Staff Profile. Complete the profile and click the green Accept Changes button.
How can I add a new student not on the general education list? From the Home Page click Administration / Staff. Students. In the Action line click Add New Staff Profile. Complete the profile and click the green Accept Changes button.
Why can't a staff member see a student? For staff in BUILDING-BASED security groups to see a particular student (such as teachers, secretaries, principals), the staff member and the student(s) must BOTH be attached to a common building in their respective profile settings. If a teacher, for example, cannot see ANY students, it is likely that the teacher's profile must be edited to include the correct building. For staff in DISTRICT-BASED security groups (such as related service providers, special eduaction office staff), the staff member and the student(s) must BOTH be attached to the district, using ANY building from the district.
