TIENET

Overview

TIENET is the Kent ISD-wide web based special education student management System. It is expected to be the special educators workspace. TIENET works with your district's general student data system daily to provide updated, extended data collection and anaylsis for special education. For many districts, TIENET will replace MICIS, our previous Web eIEP, Excel IEP, or other data handling programs for everyday special education case management..

Data Connectivity

TIENET and the ISD works with LEA technical staff to establish a daily data exchange between the TIENET application and the local general student information system. The connectivity goal is to efficiently "enter-data-once-use-many-times" between TIENET and the district's genreal information system.

Training

Key TIENET users in local districts will be trained by TIENET and ISD staff to act as TIENET Liaisons and local Core Trainers.

Support

The first level support is handled by each district's TIENet Liaison and Core Trainers.

  • LEA Core Trainers will provide training for local rollout, assist LEA Liaisons with local technical support, provide profesional development, and be able to help with other issues as they emerge. See FAQs for End Users
