Kent ISD has recognized many valued staff in the past week including retirees and those with 5 or more years of service.

Last week, we saluted our retiring colleagues with a warm reception packed with friends. Many laughs were had and a few tears fell as fond memories were shared about each retiree in attendance.

This week, we held the annual Service Award BBQ luncheon in honor of those staff members whose years of service range from 5 to 35 years. This year’s 55 recipients have devoted 690 years of service to Kent ISD. Nearly 30% of recipients have been with us for 20 or more years.  That’s just 15 people with a combined total of 365 years!

Administrators and staff recognized each individual for their dedication and commitment to Kent ISD and education in West Michigan with lunch, a commemorative pin, a personalized note and a logowear gift.
